Friday, July 18th:

We have added a new sponsor to the club...ADDASEAT....they have a new pivoting double seat mount that lets two people fish either the front or the back of the boat together. They will be giving away gift certificates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in our tournaments for the remainder of the year. You can click the banner on the website homepage and link to their page for more info and a short video.

ALSO!!!!  Everyone that can come out on Saturday, August 2nd and help with the Kids Fishing Rodeo.....please do. We will be helping the Kiwanis Club with this event and we are furnishing the drinks, so we need help with that and also bring a rod and reel if you can. The Fish and Game folks are bringing rod and reels but  it won't hurt to have some extras just in case. This will be at the City Pond by the airport from 8:00am-12:00pm.

Tuesday, June 10th:

The time for the next tournament June 14th at Gainesville has been changed...it will now be 6:00am - 2:00pm. Its getting daylight earlier plus we'll try to beat the heat a little bit.

Everyone remember the fish fry and club meeting Thursday at the park at 6:30pm at the big pavillion by the lake.

The newsletter was delayed a little but it finally got printed today, so they will start going out on Wednesday.....I may just hand most of them out at the fish fry Thursday.

Monday, June 2nd:

We are changing the date of the September tournament from the 13th to the 20th, so everyone please make a note of this. Team Trails already had a permit for the Vienna Ramp for that day with the Corp of Engineers, so we had to back ours up a week.

I would also like to thank everyone for making the long trip down to McConnico Creek a couple weeks ago. Twenty one boats showed up and made this a very successful tournament as all of them have been this year...with almost a 200 mile round trip this shows what some dedicated members we have in this club. Even with the hot weather we had nineteen this past Saturday at Pickensville...Let's keep it going!!!

The next newsletter should be out in about a week.....

Thursday, April 10th:

Just to let everyone know....the next newsletter will not be out until after the next tournament. We're only going to do one per month, so we will double up on the tournament results when we have two of those per month. If anyone has any suggestions, ideas, criticisms, or whatever to make the newsletter better, then send me an email....I'd love to hear them.

Monday, March 10th:

We are doing the Lake Tuscaloosa tournament a little different than our others this year. You can register at the club meeting Thursday night at Mickey's or see Matt or Mickey anytime this week. On the morning of the tournament you can only register at C&H Sorting Goods on hwy 43 just south of Lakeland Grocery. Once registered you can launch anywhere on the lake (can't start fishing till 7:00am). C&H has shiners, tuffies, and the rosey red minnows in stock.

You must be back at the landing at 3:00pm and be back at C&H to weigh-in by 3:30pm.

One other thing.........EVERYONE BE SURE TO WEAR LIFE JACKETS WHEN RUNNING WITH THE GAS MOTOR.....this is a club rule and not everyone has been doing this.

                                                                      GOOD LUCK !!!!

Monday, March 1st:

Due to the fact that we could not get a permit for March 8th from the City of Tuscaloosa, we are going to postpone the Lake Tuscaloosa tournament for a week until March 15th. Hopefully this won't be a conflict to anyone, but we can get a permit for the 15th.

Friday, February 29   2008:

We are going to have to make a change in our launch site for the Lake Tuscaloosa tournament. Due to aconflict at Bob's Marina, we are moving to Binion Creek. The weigh-in will still be at C&H Sporting Goods like last year. Everyone try to be at the Thursday night meeting or see Mickey or Matt and pay your entry fee ahead of time....this would be much appreciated.

The club's first newsletter is finished and will hopefully mail out on Saturday, March 1st.
